Hisachdis Avreichim D'Bobov ("we," "us," or "the program") operates an SMS community-announcement program for members of our community in Boro Park, Brooklyn, New York. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect in connection with the SMS program and how we use, protect, retain, and disclose it.
Consent for automated or prerecorded telephone calls is requested and documented separately from SMS consent.
Information we collect and keep
We collect only the information reasonably needed to operate the SMS program. Members provide some of this directly; the rest are records we maintain to document consent and operate the program.

Members provide their information directly to the program when giving express verbal SMS consent, in person at 1533 48th St, Brooklyn, NY 11219, or during a live telephone conversation with an authorized Hisachdis Avreichim D'Bobov representative. We do not purchase mobile numbers or obtain them from outside marketing lists.
How we use information
We use this information solely to operate the SMS community-announcement program and send recurring informational messages to members who have expressly opted in. Messages may include:
- Simcha notices, such as births and mazel tov announcements
- Community-event notices and reminders
- Schedule changes
We do not use this SMS program to send marketing, advertising, sponsorships, fundraising solicitations, or third-party promotional content.
Mobile information and SMS consent. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for promotional or marketing purposes. We do not share a member's SMS opt-in information or consent for purposes unrelated to operating this SMS program.
Service providers and permitted disclosures
We may disclose limited personal information, including a mobile number and SMS consent or opt-out status, to messaging platform providers, telecommunications carriers, telephone companies, and other service providers solely as necessary to operate and deliver the SMS program. These service providers may use the information only to provide services on behalf of Hisachdis Avreichim D'Bobov. SMS opt-in information and consent are not shared for unrelated purposes or for any third party's own marketing. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or security of the program or its members.
Message frequency and rates
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, depending on the member's mobile carrier and plan.
Opting out and getting help
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will receive one confirmation message. No further SMS messages will be sent unless you opt in again. For help, reply HELP or contact office@habobov.org.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect member information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we limit access to people and service providers who need the information to operate the program.
Data retention
We keep consent and messaging records only as long as reasonably necessary to operate the program, document consent, honor opt-out requests, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations.
Children's privacy
This SMS program is intended for adult community members and is not directed to children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date shown above reflects the latest version.
